What We’re Building: Jen’s Week In Review
Another week down! Since the pandemic started last Spring, I’ve been doing a mental countdown to the end. Remember when I made this countdown chain to the end of the “school year”, which at the time had been declared 100% virtual.
Little did I know we would be sitting here 10 months later with school looking much the same. 100% virtual school is something I never thought would stretch into the next school year, much less the next calendar year. But with vaccinations rolling out to public school teachers, we remain hopeful they go back soon. Until then, we stay positive (and let’s be honest, we drink wine).
So what’s happening around NDI? I’m really excited for an upcoming online event series launching this coming Wednesday.
Noontime Knowledge with NDI
Many of you know Renee Paquet, Senior Sales Manager at NDI. Renee just celebrated her 16th year with NDI. She’s great at what she does because she is passionate about custom home building. About 18 months ago, she and her family moved out of the area so her husband could pursue an amazing job opportunity. When she first told me, I was crushed. I hired Renee and couldn’t imagine her leaving the team.
Soon after Renee first told me about her move, we started talking about how she might be able to continue to sell for us from her new town. Because this all went down before the pandemic, doing things virtually was new for us. But it didn’t take long for Renee to rebuild her business remotely. She mastered the pivot before the pivot was cool!
Which is why we are very excited to launch a series called Noontime Knowledge with NDI!
Starting on Wednesday, January 27, Renee and I will be hosting live opportunities to connect virtually with our team. Pack your lunch, and join us as we explore the process of building a custom home!

Get Yourself One These!
My husband is many things to our family, but recently, he’s been the resident handyman! We’ve been doing some renovations in our house (notice the doors missing from our kitchen cabinets!), so we’ve been “discovering” some other things that need attention along the way. One of them was that my standup mixer was leaking oil. While my first instinct is to remove and replace, Paul rolls up his sleeves and tries to fix it.
And fix it he did! After 21 years of marriage, this man continues to amaze me.
