As your read this, I hope you are enjoying a quiet and meaningful day with your family and friends. It has been so fun sharing pictures of homes we’ve built and decorated for Christmas! In case you missed it, here are the 12 Days of Christmas Trees…
Day 1 of The 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to this Winslow Model we built in Alexandria.
This family made some wonderful modifications to the standard layout that we loved so much, we basically duplicated their changes in a Winslow we built on spec!
You know what they say? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

Day 2 of The 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to this Buckingham Model we built in Falls Church.
This home turned out so beautifully and we are completely head over heels for the little nook they finished over the foyer (accessible through an upper-level bedroom). This would make the perfect children’s reading nook (and not a bad spot for a Christmas tree!).
Did you know over 50% of our new business each year is either a repeat client or a referral from a client. This family we built this home for are friends of mine. A lot of people think I’m crazy for building for friends but I think it is the biggest compliment that they would choose NDI. And I’m so proud of the company we are, why wouldn’t I?

Day 3 of The 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to this Complete Custom we built in Falls Church.
This sweet couple was just married when we handed to keys to their lovely farmhouse style custom home. Here is a picture of their sweet pup, Claddagh (named after the Irish ring which symbolizes love, loyalty, and friendship).

Day 4 of The 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to a Winslow Model we built in Great Falls a few years ago.
This family was just moving into their beautiful home when they were expecting their first child. Now they have two!

Day 5 of the 12 Days of Christmas belongs to NDI VP of Operations, Adam Alderson (also my baby brother!). We built a Berkshire Model for Adam & his family back in 2010.
Hard to believe it has been over 13 years!

Day 6 of The 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to a Broadmont Model we built in Falls Church in 2016.
This was an interesting project for us, because we built two spec homes right next door to this family, and they watched the entire build process before deciding to build with NDI. That is quite the interview!

Day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to a Complete Custom Model we built for a client in the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria.
We’ve had a long relationship with this particular family, having built several homes for their son starting first as an investment builder back in 2014. When the parents came to us for their custom home project, we were thrilled!

Day 8 of The 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to a Complete Custom Model we built for a client in the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria (also the son of the client featured in Day 7 above!).
This year we built this beautiful home for him and his family. These long-lasting relationships make what we do so much (more) fun!

Speaking of fun, Day 9 of the 12 Days of Christmas Trees, belongs to my neighbor! We finished their beautiful NDI home just a few weeks ago!

Day 10 of The 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to a Fairlington Model we built in Falls Church in 2015. This home is across the street from two NDI spec homes we built the year prior, and down the street from two others – we love seeing clusters of NDI homes and our happy clients celebrating the holidays!

Day 11 of The 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to this Winslow Model we built in McLean earlier this year.
This family made some wonderful modifications to the standard layout that we love, including a custom kitchen and adding finished space over the family room to expand the primary bedroom suite. Functional and beautiful!

Day 12 of the 12 Days of Christmas Trees belongs to my family.
We built our NDI home in 2008. At the time, Paul and I didn’t think we would have children. Just a few years after we moved in, we were blessed with our boys, Nate & Andrew. One of the things I love most about our home is that it has adapted along with us over all these years.
