Jen In The Kitchen: Best Marinade (Ever)

Jen In The Kitchen: Best Marinade (Ever)

I know it sounds like hyperbole, but this is one of the best marinade recipes I’ve come across since my favorite Asian Salmon marinade. This marinade can be used for chicken thighs, like the recipe calls for. I think it would also be excellent for pork tenderloin, flank or hanger steak, even chicken wings!

It comes together in a flash, and you can make the marinade days in advance and keep it in the frig until you’re ready to cook. The longer you let the meat soak it up, the better!

The first time we made this, we sliced it up and made chicken tacos and taco bowls.

It is also great on salads. You know how I love a big salad!

Or straight off the cutting board!

Here is the recipe. This was enough to cover 8 chicken thighs. I eyeballed the spices, but this is pretty close. If you keep the proportions the same, you can’t go wrong. You could also follow the posted recipe verbatim, but what’s the fun in that?

    Best Marinade (Ever)

    • 1/2 Bottle Italian dressing (save the rest for the next batch, which will be soon!)
    • 1 1/2  teaspoon kosher salt
    • 1 teaspoon adobo seasoning
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 2 tablespoons sazonor 1 packet store bought like Goya or Loisa
    • 1 teaspoon dried oreganoor 1 teaspoon fresh

Depending on what you are marinating, will determine how you cook it. The 3 times I’ve made this, I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs, and (Paul) grilled them. They were perfect.
