Deciding on what home to build on your lot is a tough decision. How much space do you need? What size garage? It can be overwhelming! Today we’re comparing two NDI designs that have some similarities, but also distinct differences. The Langley Model and The Chesterbrook Craftsma Model are two of our most popular designs. Buyers love the look and functionality of these homes. But which one should you choose?
How these designs are similar…
The Langley Model and the Chesterbrook Craftsman Model are each 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom, Craftsman style homes, with large master suites and spacious secondary bedrooms. Both have laundry rooms on the second floor and first floor flex space with a full bathroom, perfect for a guest suite or a home office. These open concept floor plans are fantastic for entertaining and they both include our amazing signature features.
How these designs are different…
The Langley Model is slightly smaller at 3799 square feet and 53’ wide with a 2-car garage. It also has a one-story great room off the gourmet kitchen.
The Chesterbrook Craftsman is 3889 square feet, 58’ wide with a 3’car garage and features a two-story family room.
One of the biggest distinctions between these two designs is the location of the stairs, and for many families, this is a big deal. In the Chesterbrook Craftsman, the main stairs are in the foyer as you enter the home.
In the Langley Model, the stairs are tucked away in the center of the home.
Making your choice:
Both designs have a lot to offer, and you really can’t go wrong (those beautiful front porches!). And don’t forget we can customize anything. Do you love the Chesterbrook Craftsman Model, but you don’t need a 3-car garage, or would you prefer a one-story family room? No problem!
