A Word From Jen…Wednesday’s Federal Reserve Meeting + Super Bowl Recipe

Thank you for joining me for my weekly feature, “A Word From Jen…”, which is a short touch point I post each week to keep you informed about what’s happening around NDI, the market, and even in my own house. Here we go!

The Federal Reserve met for the first time since the turn of the year and announced it would leave rates unchanged for now. The Fed’s last rate hike was in July 2023, and many have been waiting to see what they will do in 2024. While most believe the Fed will start easing rates this year, the big question is when.

The other BIG question is what does this mean for new construction? Even though the Fed hasn’t cut rates since they started raising them, rates have fallen more than a point since October. This feels like a positive marker for what I think will be a very busy 2024. Stay tuned for more because I have a lot to share with you!
