Happy 36th Birthday NDI! We were incorporated on February 29, 1988, so every 4 years, we get to celebrate NDI’s birthday on our actual birthday! It has been quite a ride (especially the last several years), and I wanted to take a moment to recognize this wonderful day, and the many people who have made the last 36 years possible.
Our Partners…we have the pleasure of working with the best subcontractors, suppliers, and professionals in the industry. A builder can strive to deliver a quality home, but unless they are backed by the best, the end product will always fall short. We have handpicked the team behind our team who help us build our beautifully crafted custom homes.
These trusted companies are experts in their field, and they do it all with integrity and a smile.
Our Team…when Dad started NDI in 1988, he was committed to cultivating a team to help build the company from the ground up. Starting in the early days with just a few employees, to the team we have today, we have been blessed with wonderful people who have done just that. We would not be who we are today, without the many, many NDI team members, past and present. My heart is so full of gratitude when I think of the impact our team has made on our company!
We got together last year to celebrate our 35th year in business, which was super special!
Our Clients…we wouldn’t be anything without the trust and loyalty of our clients. We’ve worked with so many awesome families over the years, and they have each contributed to the success of NDI.
My MOST favorite thing is either a referral or a repeat client. Nothing says “I trust you, NDI” more than referring a friend or family member to us. Even more, when a client comes back to build another NDI home.
It is the best feeling ever!
Our Founder & My Dad, Scott Alderson…starting a company takes vision, guts and grit. But I think it takes more than that to take that vision and turn it into a legacy. It takes being a great man. I’m so proud of my dad for having the vision, the guts, and the grit to get NDI off the ground. And while NDI wouldn’t be here without that, it was Dad’s founding principal of operating NDI with one rule in mind that has gotten us where we are today. In all we do, our compass for making decisions is by The Golden Rule.
My brother, Adam, said it best about our dad when he spoke at our 35th Celebration last year.
“…he had a vision, and charted his course, navigating that vision through 3 1/2 decades, all the while staying true to one key ingredient. The Golden Rule. Do unto others. Treat people how you want to be treated. An idea so simple.”
I’m proud to part of NDI, not only because it is my dad’s legacy, but because of the businesses we’ve worked with, the team members who have invested their career in us, and the thousands of dreams we’ve built for our clients over the years. These are more than just homes. They are the spaces our clients raise their families in, where they gather with friends, and where memories are made. And that is pretty darn special!
